We understand that pedestrians should always use crossings for their own safety but under no circumstances does that mean a driver of a motorized vehicle should not yield the right of way to a human being who is walking across the road.
Just take look at the following video in which we see a Toyota Land Cruiser rolling at a low speed towards a woman who is passing through the road at that moment.
