If that isn’t enough, the car comes fitted with a number of sensors that help it react to exterior conditions. For example, should the car be set on fire, sensors will automatically deploy the extinguisher mechanism. Taking this further, sensors on board can even ‘see’ threats that the naked eye cannot. A case in point would be a gas attack. The car realizes that the air outside isn’t suitable for breathing and this immediately triggers the release of oxygen into the passenger compartment. Not only does this keep the passengers protected, it also creates a difference in pressure keeping the exterior air from getting in.  Another unique feature is the patented emergency exit system. In the event that the doors cannot be opened normally, a pyrotechnic system literally blows the doors off their hinges to allow for a quick and easy exit. If you thought that the weakest spot on the car would be its tyres, then its time to think again. Boasting of a tyre within a tyre technology, these high security 255/720 R490 117 H tyres can run at speeds of 80 kilometers per hour even if damaged! Powering the A8L Security is the 6299cc W12 engine that generates 500PS @ 6200rpm and a solid 625Nm of torque @ 4750rpm. Mated to an 8 speed tiptronic gearbox and fitted with Audi’s quattro all wheel drive system, the A8L Security can touch speeds in excess of 210 kilometers per hour and go from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds! The adaptive air suspension has been tuned to handle the increase in weight and the brakes and respective systems have also been enhanced to handle the increase in weight.
