What we have here is yet another sighting of Porsche's 911 GT3 wearing very little camouflage. To be precise, YouTube user Dani Dominguez Mas, filmed three prototypes of the purest version of the 991 series at a gas station in the town of L'Ametlla del Vallès in Spain. Read more »

U Spy: Barely Camouflaged 2013 Porsche 911 Turbo Recorded on the Road

The wait for one of the crown jewels of the new Porsche 911 series is almost over as it shouldn't be too long before the automaker removes the last remaining pieces of camouflage from the Turbo model in both Coupe and Convertible forms.

CarScoop reader and avid Porsche-hunter Toldi was able to capture a thinly disguised prototype of the new 991 Turbo Coupe on the streets of Porsche's hometown of Stuttgart in Germany with his camera.

Leaked Porsche 918 Spyder Brochure Tells us that a Blue Shade will Cost Buyers a Mere...$65,000

While most manufacturers do their best to hide their latest models from prying eyes before their official launch, Porsche has been quite forthcoming about its new supercar, the 918 Spyder.

In fact, it has already released a barrage of information, including the specifications of its 770+ HP hybrid powertrain and (provisional) performance figures: 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) comes in 3.2 seconds and top speed exceeds 320 km/h (199 mph).

Today, Porsche announced on its Facebook page that the 918 Spyder has lapped the Nordschleife in 7:14’. That's better than most supercars, including its Carrera GT predecessor and the Lexus LFA Nürburgring edition, but behind the "old" Dodge Viper ACR (7:12.13) as far as production models are concerned.

Porsche Shows Off 918 Spyder at Gran Turismo Nürburgring Evo 2012

The Stuttgart-based sportscar maker unveiled a pre-production development model of the 918 Spyder dressed in a race-inspired livery on the last day of the event.

Blitzkrieg! New BMW M5 vs Porsche Panamera GTS in MT's Latest Duel

The direct translation for the German term Blitzkrieg is 'Lightning War' and it usually refers to the World War II Nazi strategy of rapid concentration of force at high speed to break the enemy front.

In the world of performance sedans, the Germans don't have a lot of enemy fronts to shatter as the only notable rivals from foreign automakers are the Cadillac CTS-V and the Jaguar XF-R (S), but they're still attacking the segment with lots of force.

What do they have is a lot of internal competition, sometimes even within their own house (i.e. M3 Sedan, M5 Sedan).

Chris Harris Compares Toyota GT86 Against Nissan 370Z and Used Porsche Cayman S

Like the rest of the motoring press, experienced road test editor Chris Harris has already driven the Toyota GT86 (Scion FR-S in the US) during its official launch in Spain. To say he came out all-enthusiastic would probably be an understatement; Harris was raving.

Cars, however, are not only judged on their own but against their rivals as well. Harris decided to test the GT86 on English roads to see if it feels as good as it did at the Spanish track six months ago. He also brought some stiff competition for good measure.

C&D Pits Nissan Juke-R Against Porsche 911 GT2 RS

When it comes to extreme production cars, the limited run Nissan Juke-R takes the cake, and rightfully so since the Japanese automaker essentially dropped the body of its small crossover over the (shortened) chassis and powertrain of the supercar-slaying GT-R sports car.

In prototype form, the Juke-R uses the MY10 GT-R's 485hp V6, but the actual production model, which will carry a base price of $590,000 (about €473,000), will get the even more powerful 545hp turbocharged engine from the improved MY12 (2013MY in North America) GT-R.

Attention All Millionaires: Rare Porsche 911 GT1 to be Auctioned Off in Monterey

If you are willing to spend close to a million dollars on a supercar you are spoilt for choice. Apart from the “usual suspects” such as the upcoming Ferrari “Enzo/F70" and Porsche 918 Spyder, you can opt for something less common like a Veyron, Koenigsegg or a Pagani.

However, if you really want to go exclusive, you may want to visit Monterey next weekend as RM Auctions is putting up a Porsche 911 GT1 “Strassenversion” (that’s German for “street version”) for sale.

Not to be confused with the various 911s bearing the GT moniker, the GT1 is a completely different beast. In the mid-1990s, the most successful carmaker in the history of Le Mans was spurred by McLaren’s success to return to endurance racing.

Porsche's weapon of choice debuted at the La Sarthe circuit in 1996. Although it was named 991, it was mid- and not rear-engined and the flat-six was water cooled and featured four valves per cylinder. In fact, the only thing borrowed from the (then current) 993 was the front structure, which was mated to the rear of Stuttgart’s previous all-conquering racer, the 956/962.

Did Porsche Pull the Sheets Off the Production Version of the 918 Spyder to a Select Few?

A new video circulating around the internet has some people suggesting that Porsche may have shown the final-production version of its 918 Spyder to future customers during an invitation-only event in New York.

We cannot say for sure if it is indeed the production spec model, but the car seen here does sport some minor changes over the most recent prototypes caught on camera as well as the ones previewed in official shots such as the Martini Racing version.

New Porsche Macan Compact SUV Scooped in Pictures and on Video, First Look at the Interior

A cunningly disguised prototype of the all-new Porsche Macan compact crossover has made another appearance for the camera revealing its interior for the very first time.

From the spy shots, it looks like the Macan will feature a similar but not the same dashboard design to the second generation of the larger Cayenne SUV with a prominent center console sporting a large touch screen flanked by vertical air vents.

On the outside, compared to the previous test car and aside from the faux lights and rear window panels that remain, this prototype of the Macan featured larger wheels and rims, aluminum roof rails and quad instead of dual exhaust pipes hinting at a more powerful engine under the hood.

Speaking about engines, the Audi Q5-sized crossover will be the first Porsche since the 924/944/968 series models to be offered with four-cylinder powerplants, and in particular, 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline and diesel units producing somewhere around 240hp and 200hp respectively.

Spied: The Sounds of the Porsche 918 Spyder from the Nürburgring

We are not exactly sure how one of our commentators concluded that "When you lead with 'goes for a spin on the Ring' It leads one to believe a video is available" in regards to our previous spy story on the Porsche 918 Spyder, but nevertheless, we'll try to satisfy his request with two freshly shot videos from the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

If we're not hugely mistaken, this is the first time we've heard the pre-production prototype of the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder in action.
