Upcoming Bugatti 16C Galibier Saloon will get “Over 1,000bhp”

The Bugatti 16C Galibier concept was first revealed in late 2009 as a proposal for a second model (after the Veyron of course) in the Bugatti lineup. This four door, four seat super saloon car was boasted to be equally as impressive in terms of performance as its Veyron sibling.

As Bugatti CEO Wolfgang Durheimer sat down with Car&Driver, more details emerged on the upcoming model.

If there's an auto show with an affluent crowd, you can rest assure that Bugatti will pop up with a special edition version of one of its cars.

And by 'special edition', Bugatti usually means a different color combination, which is the case for its newest creation based on the open-top Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse that made it to this week's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in Monterey.

No thanks to the 2012 Olympic Games, London has become a more heavily patrolled and less friendlier place for cars of any type or price – the Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 included.

Still, it's not every day that you see a 1,001-horsepower (986bhp) supercar being signaled by a policeman to follow him on a…bicycle for a violation.
