Motorcyclist Gathering at St. Louis' Ride of the Century Doesn't Sit Well with the Cops

For the past 10 years, the city of St. Louis plays host to the annual Streetfighterz Ride of the Century (ROC) festival.

The 2012 edition of the ROC gathering took place last weekend with hundreds if not thousands of riders traveling to Missouri to attend the event.

At some point, the bikers hit the highway in large groups and the Missouri Highway Patrol got involved and started following the bikers, many of whom were recording the ride.

In the first clip, which was said to be shot by multiple people from many angles, we see two cop cars driving alongside a group of motorcyclists. At the 2:10 mark, some of the riders break off and cut through the grass to make a run for it as patrol cars had partially blocked the road in front.

Jeep Driver Uses Sidewalk to Bypass School Bus Only to Find a Cop on the Other Side…

We guess you could say justice was served in the case of 32-year-old Shena Hardin, of Cleveland, who reportedly had the bad habit of using the sidewalk whenever she saw a school bus to avoid waiting for the children to exit or enter the vehicle.

After seeing the same thing happening over and over again, a Cleveland Metropolitan School District (CMSD) bus driver decided to take matters in his own hands by calling the police to capture the woman red handed.

Sure enough, Hardin appeared with her silver-colored Jeep Compass and jumped on the sidewalk to go around the bus. Only this time, a patrol car was waiting for her just around the corner…

Cop Drags 77-year Old Woman from Car After She Refused to Give ID Before She Went to the Toilet…

Something tells us that 77-year-old Lynn Bedford wasn't expecting to be yanked out of her car when she was pulled over by a cop for speeding 16 mph (26km/h) over the 50 mph (80km/h) posted limit on Highway 67 near the city of Keene in Texas on August 19.

Video footage from both the officer's outfit and patrol car cameras recorded the entire incident starting from when Sgt. Gene Geheb approached the woman's SUV and told her why he stopped her.

Before Geheb could ask her for her driver's license and insurance, the woman told the officer, "All right, let's hurry up. I've got to go the bathroom." The cop asked her again for her ID only to be told, "I have a bladder infection."

Police departments across the States now have one more engine option for a total of three when it comes to Ford's Taurus-based Police Interceptor sedan, as the Blue Oval is introducing a 3.7-liter twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) V6 engine to the car's range. Read more »

2012 LA Auto Show Challenges Car Designers to Envision the Patrol Vehicle of 2025

Mike Lowery, the character Will Smith plays in Bad Boys I and II, is probably the action-movie cop that drives the best cars.

One can hardly argue that a Porsche 911 Turbo and a Ferrari 575 M sharing scenes with director Michael Bay’s personal 550 Maranello, beats a Crown Vic Interceptor or what-have-you any given day and twice on Sundays as a means of transportation for law enforcement officers.

Granted, this is a fictional character and the aforementioned cars are his own, rather than standard-issue patrol cars. Moreover, Don Johnson predated him with his Ferrari Daytona Spyder and subsequently, the Testarossa in Miami Vice.

Man Accuses NYPD of Taking his Mercedes-Benz for a Joy Ride While he Was in Jail

Receiving a ticket for running a red light is nothing new - unless, that is, you were in jail and the police had impounded your car at the time, which is the case of 25-year old Rashad Lewis from Queens, New York.

Lewis' story started on Friday, August 3, when the 25-year old junior at Berkeley College was pulled over for a traffic violation while driving his luxury Mercedes-Benz CL coupe in New York City.

Watch Saudi Arabian Drifters Chase Down a Police Officer

We all know how popular (there's even a music video) but also how dangerous the Saudi Arabian street drifting practice known as 'Hagwalah' is.

We also suspect that all of you who have watched the numerous videos on CarScoop and other websites have surely wondered about the absence of law enforcement, especially with so many deaths and injuries caused by reckless drifters.

Well, here's a video that shows a police car arriving at a gathering of drifters, reportedly in Saudi Arabia (if this incident took place somewhere else, drop us a message and we'll rectify it).

Woman's Kia Sorento Gas Pedal gets Stuck Sending her on a 120mph Horror Ride

Given the sticky situation she was in, Lauri Ulvestad of Ames, Iowa, should consider herself extremely lucky for making it out alive when the accelerator pedal of her 2011 Kia Sorento crossover got jammed as she was driving up Interstate 35 in Missouri last week.

The 47-year old woman told KCCI-TV in Des Moines that she tried everything from turning off the key, to shifting out of drive and slamming on the brakes, but nothing worked.

"I knew I was going to die," said Ulvestad. "I didn't have any doubt about. I really thought I was going to die ... and no matter what I did, I couldn't slow it down."

Florida Cop Smells "A Lot of Marijuana" in a Jaguar Driving on the Highway, Finds Near to Nothing

Yes, it's another police incident from Florida – it seems we're having a lot of those lately. This time, we have a Sarasota Sheriff Deputy who was convinced that the passengers of an older generation Jaguar XJ were smoking pot -and lots of it- while driving on the road.

This incident took place on a Friday night in May, but the dash-cam footage from the patrol car was released this week.

In the police report, Sarasota Sheriff's Deputy Dominic Fornal noted that he was following the 2003 Jaguar on the highway at speeds of around 30-35mph (49-56km/h) and that with his patrol car's windows rolled down, he could smell "strong and distinct odor of unburned cannabis" coming out of the British sedan.

Guy Tracks Down Alleged Thief on Craigslist and Retrieves His Stolen Bike [NSFW]

A young man from Portland went all Chris Hanson on a person who allegedly stole his bicycle tracking down and filming the perpetrator.

About a week after the theft, the owner found the bike listed for sale on Craigslist about 160 miles away in Seattle, Washington. He contacted the seller under the alias of Simon Jackson (we'll call him that from now on since we don't have his real name) and set up a meeting to buy the bike in Seattle.

Along with a couple of friends and equipped with a video recorder, Jackson confronted the seller of the bike who was sitting at a Starbucks with a young girl.

Cop Doesn't Like the Sounds of a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 in Monaco

Exotic supercars like the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 are flashy, fast and of course, loud, sometimes too much for their own good, especially when their owners have opted for aftermarket goodies such as a more hardcore exhaust system to enhance their character.

Sure, most of us petrol heads wouldn't mind hearing the wonderful sounds of a howling V12 engine on the street, but that does not mean that others will or have to agree.

Lexus Driver Taunts Local Saudi Cops

While in many parts of the world, passing a couple of police cruisers at speeds that exceed 220km/h (+137mph) can get you in a whole lot of trouble, this doesn't always seem to be the case in vast desert highways of the Arabian Peninsula, which are the playgrounds for those who practice the dangerous local sport of 'hagwalah'.

In this video, we see the driver and passenger of a Lexus model following a Honda Accord drifter on either side of the road before he decides to taunt several police cars including a Toyota FJ Cruiser and a Ford Crown Victoria.

You Won't be Laughing with these Cops in Beverly Hills

Unlike the playful characters, Axel Foley and Billy Rosewood portrayed by Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold respectively in the 1980s blockbuster "Beverly Hills Cop" and its sequels, these real life boys in blue mean business.

The story has it that a pair of young girls was pulled over last Thursday, August 2, in Beverly Hills by LA County Sheriff’s deputies, allegedly for driving a stolen vehicle – an older generation Mercedes-Benz CLK Convertible, if our eyes don't deceive us.
