First Gen Audi TT Desperately Wants to Look Like its R8 Brother

Whether you like or not, you have to admit that, the original Audi TT with its Bauhaus-inspired geometry and arched roofline is a design icon of our time.

That said, it doesn't really make a lot of sense to try to turn such a unique looking vehicle into something else like a replica of its larger sibling, the R8, which is what the owner of this 2001 Audi TT 1.8T that's located in Sweden attempted to do.

Stanford University in California is home to some of the most brilliant young minds in the country. But with all this “young” comes the mostly testosterone and alcohol driven thoughts of any 20 year old genius. Why? Because of an autonomous racecar.

Shelley, Stanford’s autonomous Audi TTS, which we saw climb Pikes Peak back in 2009, is back on the track for some high speed testing.
