A retro proportioned leather-wrapped steering wheel features four spokes with Satin Silver accents and a small center airbag cover for easy viewing of the large gauges. A Satin Silver center stack features conveniently placed climate controls and radio with MP3 input jack, while the center console features a sliding armrest with covered storage.
The PT Cruiser Classic features 32 front- and rear-seat configurations to accommodate any cargo need quickly and conveniently. An available fold-flat front-passenger seat accommodates longer items, such as a ladder or snowboard. The tailgate also features a five position shelf panel for additional interior flexibility and utility.
The 2.4 liter inline engine comes with four valves per cylinder and overhead cam. The bore, compression ratio and stroke of the engine will be 87.5 mm, 9.5 and 101 mm respectively. The power from the engine will be 112 kilo watts at the rate of 5,200 rotations per minute and torque will be 164 lb ft at the rate of 4000 rotations per minute. The average fuel economy of the next generation compact car is expected to be 20 miles per gallon. The maximum speed of the 2010 PT Cruiser is expected to be more than 65 miles per hour.
